Wine Pairing Suggestions

For your added value, all our wines are priced at retail levels instead of standard restaurant markups! Enjoy!

Tartare

  • Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc Russian River, CA 2018 Half Bottle $19.99
    • Enticing aroma of honeysuckle, citrus blossom, white rose and gardenia. Honeydew melon, nectarine, ripe Rainier cherry, tangerine, Kaffir lime and summer hay add complexity, along with hints of sweet oak and toasted hazelnut. On the palate, vibrant acidity is finely balanced with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. The finish is broad and lingers with sweet pink grapefruit and Meyer lemon zest.
  • Pierre Riffault ‘7 Hommes’ Sancerre Loire Valley, France 2017 Half Bottle $17.99
    • Aromas of hawthorn, floral aromas, white orchard fruits, grapefruit zest and citrus. On the palate, this wine is clean, crisp & dry w/ ripe fruit characteristics & wonderful freshness.

Cheese & Salumi

  • Vinum Chenin Blanc Clarksburg, CA 2017 $21.99
    • This wine evolves into a crisp mélange of refreshing fruit from honeydew to citron lemon, ripe kiwi and tart pippin apples. The wine finishes juicy while remaining appropriately acidic and dry with sweet green apple and mango nectar flavors.
  • Bailly Lapierre NV Crémant de Bourgogne, France $18.99
    • A blend of the Appellation's four grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay, Aligote), the wine is congenial, rounded and full, with a varied bouquet. A thirst-quencher, it is our easiest drinking Crémant, clear-cut, clean with a lovely freshness. Certified Sustainable.
  • Nanfro Frappato Sicily, Italy 2017 $23.99
    • This wine is deep amaranth in color, with an enveloping and pleasant aroma. It has notes of red berries and spice on the palate. This wine pairs well with traditional Italian antipasti, shellfish, and seafood, as well as semi-seasoned cheeses and fish.

Escargot

  • Rock & Vine Chardonnay California 2016 $18.99
    • A strong smoky, overtly spicy and buttery character overpowers fruitiness in this full-bodied, heavy-textured and full-bodied wine.
  • J. Girardin Santenay Clos Rousseau 1er Cru Burgundy France 2015 Half Bottle $23.99
    • Tart cranberries and other crunchy red fruit on the nose, without much earthiness or funk -- clean as a whistle. The palate is juicy and light, with plenty of acidity. From a lesser appellation, the ripeness of the vintage gives this a little more heft and is very desirable.

Gazpacho

  • Kettmeir Müller Thurgau Alto Adige, Italy 2017 $23.99
    • Aromatic, full and fresh. Once you’ve tasted this intense Alpine varietal, you’ll want to share it with the wine lovers in your life. Pale straw-yellow color with an intense, reasonably aromatic nose showing notes of nutmeg, nettle and white peach. Fresh, full, agreeable, lengthy palate.
  • Portal da Calçada Rosé Portugal 2019 $12.99
    • Bright and zippy with fresh strawberry and cherry, with a hint of white pepper, nicely balanced by the typical lime zest influence of the Vinho Verde region.

Pea Soup

  • Marques de Caceres Verdejo Rueda, Spain 2018 $9.99
    • Intense bouquet of apples, pears and white peaches with mineral notes and a depth of fresh herbs. Clean, vibrant and full in the mouth with well-defined structure. Fresh and lively character, enhanced by a pleasant, slightly tart finish.
  • Ciavolich Aries Pecorino Abruzzo Italy 2018 $17.99
    • Wide nose with hints of medlar, peach, bergamot, freesia, chamomile flowers, thyme, rosemary, white pepper, ginger, balsamic notes. On the palate it has an enveloping softness and intense freshness both, structured and balanced, with a final note of citrus and a trail of long persistence.

Beet Salad

  • Zotovich Viognier Santa Rita Hills CA 2018 $28.99
    • There's immense freshness to the nose of this estate bottling, with freshly cut pluot and white-melon aromas. The palate sizzles with strong acidity and grabs hold with a tense structure, tucking the flavors of peach and melon behind a chalky frame.
  • Palama Arcangelo Primitivo Italy 2017 $16.99
    • Palamà is committed to the highest quality “everyday” wines that can be produced, without the fuss of new oak, just ripe, fresh, powerful fruit. His Primitivo is a delight; lush, yet bright and approachable, with notes of dark anise, cedar, and blackberry confit.

Duck

  • Marshall Davis Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton AVA Willamette Valley, OR 2016 $34.99
    • A pleasing mix of raspberries and plums start this off, with a light herbal impression and a hint of alcoholic heat that completes the experience. Its full and fruity character suggests near-term drinking for maximum enjoyment.
  • Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey Rouge Burgundy, France 2016 $34.99
    • Beautiful dark ruby color, bright and clear. The nose, intense and opened, first reveals on fresh fruits (cherry, strawberry) and then spices and vanilla hints. On the palate, fresh and fruity wine, well balanced with a delicate structure. Ripe and smooth tannins.
  • Ogier Plan de Dieu Côtes du Rhône France 2017 $21.99
    • A Grenache and Syrah blend that shows notes of red fruit and soft spice. Well-balanced with silky tannins, again red fruit is dominant with a touch of pepper-spice and cocoa on the finish. Sustainable and Vegan.

Risotto

  • Domaine de Mourchon Côtes du Rhône Blanc France 2017 $16.99
    • A straw colored wine, the delicate nose showing subtle floral aromas and hints of peaches and apricots. A full wine with notes of honey and citrus on the finish.
  • Chateau Vannieres Bandol Rose France 2019 $29.99
    • Bright bing cherry with a hint of dusty spice, solid acidity but well balanced. Mango, guava and a hint of pink grapefruit, perfect with food, or drunk by itself.
  • Rene Lamy Bourgogne Chardonnay France 2017 $20.99
    • This Chardonnay has a golden robe with green hues. It expresses notes of citrus, apple and honeysuckle. Fruit forward in attack, an aromatic finesse that will end on a beautiful round and balanced length.

Halibut

  • Kumeu River Village Chardonnay New Zealand 2017 $21.99
    • Lively lime and lemon aromas and a flinty, mineral edginess with hints of fig and white peach. The weighty mid-palate also shows peachy ripeness along with crisp acid minerality that gives the wine a refreshing cleansing quality. This wine is delightful as an aperitif, and even better to drink with fish and shellfish.
  • Foris Pinot Gris Rogue Valley, OR, 2017 $15.99
    • Bright straw-gold in color, our 2017 Pinot gris has aromas of honeysuckle, tangerine, ginger and develops white peach and herbs as the wine opens up. It opens on the palate with slate, lemongrass, nectarine and finishes with a sweet ginger spiciness.
  • Champ de Reves Pinot Noir Anderson Valley 2014
    • Blueberry, cranberry, wisteria, and white rose join wisps of cedar incense, leather, dried mint, and Thai basil on the nose. Pomegranate, tangerine, Niçoise olive, cinnamon, and green tea flavors come together on the palate. Intricately balanced acidity, silky texture, and a touch of mineral tang are all framed by sturdy tannin carrying into a long, lingering finish.

Shortribs

  • Kieu Hoang Syrah California 2012 $29.99
    • This opens with dusty rose floral notes, and evolves with roast beef, and pepper finishing in aromatic cedar. The palate is both heavy duty and elegant. It varies from the aromas by showing bold cherry flavors framed by black pepper and melon.
  • Mullan Road Cellars Red Blend, Columbia Valley, WA 2016 $42.99
    • Perfumed aromas of currants, plum skin, dried herbs and spice make way for more intense notes of smoked raspberry, dried strawberry and vanilla bean. The flavors are layered and concentrated, providing a seamless palate filled with deep cherry, black fruits, sage and baking spices. Delicious, sultry and complex, this wine’s wonderful texture and silky tannins carry through to a long and lifted finish.
  • Il Fauno di Arcanum Tuscany, Italy 2016 $32.99
    • Hints of cypress, mushrooms and undergrowth, with spicy notes of walnut nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate, the fruits are loaded and powerful dominated by ripe black cherry and plum. In palate we find a nice balance between soft and silky tannins and vibrant acidity. The ending rises on hints of citrus fruits, intense dark chocolate and tobacco leaf.
  • Chateau Fourcas-Dupre Listrac Medoc Bordeaux France 2015 $22.99
    • Plenty of blackberry and boysenberry fruit on the nose, a touch of brine here, a subtle marine influence that lends it complexity and personality. The palate is medium-bodied with a juicy opening, a mélange of red and black fruit, taut and quite linear with plenty of freshness and tension on the finish.
